For those of you who haven't heard, we're building a fitness studio at our home. It's going to be gorgeous when it's all finished, but we were a little ambitious thinking we could get it done before the weather turned. I like to think of it all as a learning experience. And thankfully my clients are all enjoying being outdoors and/or in their homes while we wrap things up. Here are some images to bring you up to date. I'll be back soon with "git-'er-done" date!
The skylight is installed in the loft! Dropping it in was easy, flashing around it to fit the roofing was a bugger. |
| Then the metal roofing was installed. |
The doors and widows are all in, and mostly trimmed. The studio will be very well insulated, with foam and wrap on the outside, and insulation on the inside. Here you can see foam (white) and the wrap (black). |
Yoga mats have multiple uses on the project. We cut one down to wrap the forks on the lift to avoid marring the wood on the trusses. |
The trusses are finally up! This photo does not do them justice, but they will be the crown jewel of the studio when the space is completely finished. |

Looks great. Kudos to Corey and crew.
Thanks BIll! It's going to be a pretty special place that I hope everyone who enters enjoys it. :-)
That looks fantastic! Corey and the gang are doing an incredible job. Can't wait to see the finished product next time I'm in Portland.
Thank, Britt! It's going to be spectacular when it's all done. I think I just want to move into it. :-)
